Time flies when you are having a good time and when you are with usually the one you love. Because the years go by, perhaps your anniversaries begin to sneak up on you, with you and your cherished one seemingly always ending up heading out to dinner again. Or possibly the big day comes and goes, and that you do not do some thing because you're on a restricted budget and can't consider something to do that is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but can it be worth refinancing your property and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you may be both romantic and financially smart. Listed here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new approaches to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take the day faraway from work, turn fully off the mobile phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your own busy everyday lives. Celebrate your lifetime together because that is what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If this is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If this is your 10th anniversary, provide a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Create a game from the jawhorse, and see who can appear with creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For each anniversary year, there are traditional gifts that you could give. For instance, the gift for the first year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your better half stationery you've customized, a book, a love letter, or anything else related to paper. It doesn't have to be expensive, just thoughtful. There's also a contemporary anniversary gift for every single year. Like, for the fourth anniversary, the modern gift is appliances, which could be a lot cheaper than a pricey piece of technology. If you're interested in what these gifts are, this is a handy set of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.
4. Watch Your Wedding Video
I don't think I've ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I'm not sure where it is. But what's the idea of experiencing a video made if you're not going to watch it? Your anniversary is a superb opportunity to remember that special day, so dust off that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If you don't have one, perhaps you've a video of a vacation you took or another memorable occasion. If not, look throughout your wedding album or pictures that you have got through your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you're feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for every other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, like a photo album or scrapbook of the prior year's events.
