Time flies if you are having a great time and when you are with the main one you love. While the years pass by, perhaps your anniversaries commence to sneak on you, with you and your cherished one seemingly always finding yourself going out to dinner again. Or probably the big day comes and goes, and you never do anything more because you're on a limited budget and can't think of something to accomplish this is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a visit to your wine country sounds perfect; but could it be worth refinancing your property and mortgage to finance this?)

Well, luckily, you can be both romantic and financially smart. Listed here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new methods to celebrate your anniversary.

1. Just Be Together

Take your day faraway from work, turn fully off the cell phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your busy everyday lives. Celebrate your lifetime together because that is what your anniversary is all about.

2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year

If this really is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If this really is your 10th anniversary, give a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Create a game from it, and see who will show up with the most creative number-themed gift.

3. Give Thoughtful Gifts

For every anniversary year, you will find traditional gifts as possible give. For example, the gift for the first year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your spouse stationery you have customized, a guide, a love letter, or other things associated with paper. It doesn't need to be expensive, just thoughtful. There's also a modern anniversary gift for each year. Like, for the fourth anniversary, the current gift is appliances, which might be a lot cheaper than the usual pricey little bit of technology. If you're thinking about what these gifts are, listed here is a handy list of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.

4. Watch Your Wedding Video

I don't think I have ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I am not really sure where it is. But what's the purpose of getting a movie made if you're not going to watch it? Your anniversary is a great opportunity to remember that special day, so take out that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If there isn't one, perhaps you've a movie of a holiday you took or another memorable occasion. If not, look through your wedding album or pictures that you have taken during your years together.

5. Get Crafty

If you're feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for every other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, like a photo album or scrapbook of the last year's events.
