Time flies when you're having fun and when you are with the one you love. Whilst the years pass, perhaps your anniversaries commence to sneak on you, with you and your cherished one seemingly always winding up going out to dinner again. Or possibly the big day comes and goes, and that you do not do anything at all because you're on a tight budget and can't think of something to do that is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but is it worth refinancing your home and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you can be both romantic and financially smart. Listed here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new methods to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take the afternoon removed from work, switch off the cellular phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your busy everyday lives. Celebrate your life together because that is what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If that is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If this really is your 10th anniversary, give a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Create a game from the jawhorse, and see who are able to appear most abundant in creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For every anniversary year, you will find traditional gifts that you could give. As an example, the gift for the initial year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your spouse stationery you've customized, a book, a love letter, or other things associated with paper. It doesn't have to be expensive, just thoughtful. There is also a modern anniversary gift for every year. For example, for the fourth anniversary, the present day gift is appliances, which might be a lot cheaper than the usual pricey little bit of technology. If you're interested in what these gifts are, listed here is a handy listing of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.
4. Watch Your Wedding Video
I don't think I've ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I'm not even sure where it is. But what's the point of having a movie made if you're not going to view it? Your anniversary is a superb opportunity to remember that special day, so pull out that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If you don't have one, perhaps you have a movie of a holiday you took or another memorable occasion. If not, look through your wedding album or pictures that you have got through your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you're feeling only a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for every single other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, such as a photo album or scrapbook of the last year's events.
