1 Year Anniversary Present, First Year Paper Wedding
Time flies if you are having a good time and when you're with usually the one you love. Because the years pass, perhaps your anniversaries commence to sneak up on you, with you and your family member seemingly always finding yourself venturing out to dinner again. Or possibly the big day comes and goes, and you do not do some thing because you're on a restricted budget and can't think of something to do that is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but is it worth refinancing your house and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you may be both romantic and financially smart. Here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new methods to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take the afternoon off from work, turn off the mobile phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your own busy everyday lives. Celebrate your lifetime together because that is what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If that is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If this is your 10th anniversary, provide a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Create a game from it, and see who can appear with the most creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For each anniversary year, there are traditional gifts that you could give. Like, the gift for the initial year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your better half stationery you have customized, a book, a love letter, or whatever else associated with paper. It doesn't need to be expensive, just thoughtful. There is also a modern anniversary gift for every single year. For example, for the fourth anniversary, the present day gift is appliances, which might be a lot cheaper when compared to a pricey piece of technology. If you're thinking about what these gifts are, here is a handy listing of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.
4. Watch Your Wedding Video
I don't think I've ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I am not sure where it is. But what's the idea of experiencing a movie made if you should be not going to view it? Your anniversary is a great opportunity to keep in mind that special day, so take out that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If you do not have one, perhaps you have a movie of a holiday you took or another memorable occasion. If not, look during your wedding album or pictures that you took during your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you should be feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for every single other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, such as a photo album or scrapbook of the last year's events.
